Food Business Workshop and networking Event
The Rural Development team in Caerphilly CBC have been working with RDP teams from other Local Authorities, Farmers Union Wales and Cywain to offer a Food Business Workshop and networking event covering;
- Routes to market,
- Social Media, and a
- Local Produce success story

To make it as flexible as possible, the same workshop will run over two days at different locations both from 9.30-2pm (there’s even a local food buffet included).

Local Markets
Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent are home to a growing number of local produce markets that are actively looking for food and drink makers to attend and sell their goods. If you are a small producer and would like to explore opportunities to sell at one or more of the local markets then please give us a call or reply to the survey and we try to help out.
Caerphilly Food Festival 2016
The annual Caerphilly Food Festival will take place in Caerphilly town centre on May 7th this year. Cwm a Mynydd are keen to support as many producers as possible make the most of the opportunities provided by the 8500 keen local food shoppers that attend every year. For 2016 we are looking to work with interested producers and town centre retailers to develop the offer of local food in stores and café’s – brining the food festival into the high street not just on the high street. Caerphilly Events
Every year, Caerphilly offers a wide and varied events programme that offers opportunities for local traders and 2016 is no exception. Applications for stall holders are now being accepted and we are happy to send out details to anyone interested.
The Cwm a Mynydd RDP programme is currently delivering a number of innovative rural projects across Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent.
This project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities-Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.
