Jobs Growth Wales – It’s time for us to support your business.
If you are considering recruiting a young person aged 16-24 years you could be eligible for funding through the Welsh Government funded Jobs Growth Wales programme. As an employer you could save circa £6,500 in salary costs for each young person you take on through Jobs Growth Wales.
So, how can we support your business?
- Full wage subsidy support for young persons aged between 16-24 years old for a full 6 months
- Educ8 will reimburse ALL salary costs (at National Minimum Wage) for a young person who works between 25-40 hours per week
- Employers are welcome to top-up salaries themselves should they wish the Young Person to earn more than the National Minimum Wage rate
- Educ8 can also support employers and young people to progress via the Young Recruits Programme after the 6 month Jobs Growth Wales opportunity comes to an end
- Throughout the Young Recruits Programme you will receive a significant subsidy towards the young person’s wages whilst they embark upon a fully funded Apprenticeship programme
In return for helping you take advantage of this fantastic opportunity, we require a few guarantees from you as the employer. The young person must be contracted to work 25-40 hours per week for a minimum of six months and every job funded by Jobs Growth Wales has to be additional to the existing workforce. You should also be in a position to provide a real opportunity for permanent employment once the 6 months of funding finishes.
We are looking for quality jobs that present young people with genuine opportunities to gain valuable work experience. We think it’s the least our young people deserve.

These programmes are part financed by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government. Due to Government funding restrictions may affect candidate eligibility.
