BBC Cymru Wales has revealed a star-studded line-up for BBC Proms In The Park 2013, which takes place on Saturday, September 7th in Caerphilly.

West End singing stars John Owen Jones and Sophie Evans will be joined on stage by trumpet soloist Alison Balsom, all of them accompanied by BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales under the baton of Grant Llewellyn at the open-air event supported by Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Celebrating the Last Night of the Proms along with parks across the UK, the event held at Owain Glyndwr Playing Fields is themes ‘A Night at the Musicals’.

Carmarthenshire-born West End and Broadway actor John Owen Jones, known for his outstanding lead roles in Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera will be joined by Tonypandy’s Sophie Evans, who has moved on from her role as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz to delight audiences around the country during her national tour.
